Join other awesome people like you who contributed more than 6,000 hours last year, making it possible for us to distribute more than 7.5 million pounds of food.  It’s easy, fun, and volunteerism makes it possible for us to get the work done.

Food Bank volunteers contribute to our mission in many valuable ways. Volunteers work in the warehouse; inspect, sort, and pack food; help in the office, and more.

Volunteer Groups

We are happy to host groups of people coming together from work, church or school.  We can host groups up to 6 in our Huntsville warehouse.

Getting organized requires some special scheduling. To explore the possibility of scheduling a group, contact our Community Relations Manager at communityrelations@fbofna.org or 256-382-0296.

Business Partners

Local and national companies are important partners in the fight against hunger.  If you’re looking for a non-profit partner that affects the lives of tens of thousands of North Alabamians, we’re excited to work with you!

Our business partners come from a diverse cross section of the business community.  Farms, banks, grocery chains, retailers, and corporations–all have provided critical support to our mission and bring unique expertise to the table.  Here are some ways that your business can help:

Make a financial contribution.  We have the ability to enhance the efficiency of your donation and make it stretch much further. Even a $1 donation enables us to provide nearly 5 meals.  Partner with us and multiply the impact you make on North Alabama.  We also have programs that go beyond mere hunger relief.  These programs seek systemic solutions by addressing hunger’s root causes.  Visit our PROGRAMS page to learn more.

Host a food drive.   You and your employees can help bolster our inventory with a food drive.  Thanksgiving and the December holiday season are great times to sponsor a food drive, but hunger is a year-round problem.  Why not host a Memorial Day food drive, or a Fourth of July food drive, or a Labor Day food drive!  The possibilities are as endless as your creativity!

Volunteer.  Help provide the boost of manpower we occasionally need to sort and inspect food donations.  You can help keep our food supply safe and flowing!

If your company wants to help, call or email our Community Relations Manager at 256-382-0296 or communityrelations@fbofna.org.
