From Gardens to Giving.

We’re excited to share the Summer 2025 edition of Harvest News — and you can read it all right here! You’ll see the tangible impact your generosity is having right now in the lives of hungry families across North Alabama.

This issue highlights the inspiring story of 12 Bushels, a small pantry in Scottsboro that’s growing more than just produce — they’re growing dignity, empowerment, and community. Thanks to your support, they’ve distributed over 123,000 pounds of food, expanded their garden, and are feeding both bodies and souls.

You’ll also learn about our brand-new Partner Advisory Council, a powerful group of frontline leaders from across our 11 counties who are helping us make smarter, more effective decisions — ensuring your support goes further than ever before.

And we’re honored to share the heartfelt legacy of Emily Propst Reiney, whose family’s commitment to fighting hunger is making a lasting difference for neighbors in need.

But we still have work to do. Food insecurity is rising, and too many of our neighbors — children, seniors, and hardworking families — are struggling to put food on the table.
