Mobile Food Pantries

We bring nutritious food directly to communities with limited access through mobile pantry events and our Park It Market. These distributions help families in rural and urban food deserts access fresh produce, dairy, and pantry staples.

What we’re doing

Mobile pantries brings fresh, nutritious groceries directly to communities across North Alabama, helping ensure access to food for those who need it most.

  • Serving neighborhoods with limited access to traditional food pantries
  • Providing fresh produce, dairy, and shelf-stable items free of charge
  • Partnering with local agencies to expand our reach and impact

In 2024, we held nearly 100 mobile pantries, and out of those 34 were Park-it Market and farmers’ market style distributions, resulting in tripling the number of produce distribution that occurred in 2023.

A streamlined food distribution method where recipients remain in their vehicles while volunteers load pre-packaged groceries directly into their trunks. Designed for speed, convenience, and safety.

Park-It Market

The Park-It Market is a refrigerated mobile unit that brings fresh, nutritious foods directly to individuals facing food insecurity in both rural and urban food deserts. Unlike traditional distributions, this market allows recipients to choose their own groceries, offering dignity, flexibility, and support for diverse dietary needs.

Farmers Market

Modeled after a traditional farmers market, this choice-based distribution offers fresh, nutritious produce to neighbors living in food deserts. In addition to healthy food, recipients can connect with local resources and community partners on-site.
