Food Recalls 2025

*Unless extended, pertinent food recalls will be displayed here for three months. To view the complete list of recalls and access additional food safety information, please visit:  https://www.foodsafety.gov/recalls-and-outbreaks

A food recall occurs when a company removes a food product from the market because of the possibility that the food may be contaminated or mislabeled.

While both the FDA and USDA have their own definitions of product recall classes, they follow the same general rule:

1= most serious / dangerous

2= potentially dangerous

3 = least dangerous

What Do You Do If You Have a Recalled Product?

  • Stop distribution of the product immediately.
  • Separate the item from the rest of your product. Label *DO NOT USE/DISTRIBUTE
  • Dispose of the product properly so that other people or animals cannot eat it. (This is particularly important if you opened the product.)
  • Contact the Food Bank of North Alabama if you need further clarification
